Best junior researchers awarded by ASM

The Supreme Council for Science and Technology Development of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences awarded the best junior researchers, Info-Prim Neo reports. Pharmacologist Octavian Diug, scientist at the State University of Pharmacology and Medicine Nicolae Testemiteanu, was the winner in Medical Sciences category. Serghei Cernisev of the Scientific-Practical Institute of Horticulture and Food Technologies won the award for Agricultural Sciences. Silvia Melnic, intern researcher at ASM’s Chemistry Institute, won the accolade in Biology, Chemistry and Ecology section. Andrei Hvorostuhin, intern researcher at ASM’s Institute of Applied Physics, and doctor in Physics-Mathematics Denis Nica, lab chief at the State University, shared the award for Physics and Engineering Sciences. Artiom Alhazov of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics was the winner in Mathematical and Economic Sciences. Philologist Nina Corcinschi, director of the Literature and Folklore Center within ASM’s Philology Institute, won the award for Socio-humanistic sciences. Each winner received 10,000 lei.
