Those in charge of the implementation of the common emergency telephone service 112 announced an international bidding contest to buy the automated information system of the 112 service. March 15 is the deadline for submissions, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the ICT Ministry.

Analyzing the plan of action for implementing the 112 service, Minister of Information and Communication Technology Vasile Botnari said all the actions are taken as planned, underlining yet that swifter advancement is needed. “The implementation of the 112 service is very important for the state and the people as it will increase the quality of emergency services. The task is to make 112 functional as faster as possible,” stated Vasile Botnari.
Under the plan of action for implementing the national common emergency telephone service 112, the system will be tested by the end of 2017 and will be put into operation in the third quarter of 2018.
