Bill authors will be invited to Cabinet meetings

The Government will be obliged to invite the authors of legislative initiatives to the meetings where these bills will be examined. Such a proposal was put up by the Liberal parliamentary group and was supported by Parliament, including the Communist faction, Info-Prim Neo reports. Proposal author Valeriu Munteanu said the Government is often unable to exactly understand the essence of the ideas on which the legislative initiatives are based. If the authors attend the Cabinet meetings, they will be able to explain their ideas. “We are convinced that the participation of the authors in the Government’s meetings in order to provide explanations or answer the questions of the Cabinet members will help exclude the misinterpretations of the message promoted by the persons behind the examined legislative initiatives,” said Valeriu Munteanu. If the authors are unable to attend the meetings, the bill will be examined in their absence.
