This year the hunting season for wild boars and geese will span two months from November 1 to December 30, the Government decided.
At the same time, the government banned the hunting of spotted deer, hare, elk and roe deer, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The government also set the hunting limits for the 2009/10 season. For wild boar, the limit is 1,021 units, most of it – 532 – being allocated to the forestry area Tighina.
For pheasant, the limit was set at 14,500 units, goose – 2,500, quail – 5,300, duck, coot and moorfowl – 32,000, and pigeon – 45,000. No hunting limit was set for fox.
Hunting will be allowed starting the second half August for quail, pigeon and grouse.
