The number of victims of the Chisinau apartment building blast rose to four. In the morning of October 6, rescuers found the body of a woman who is allegedly the elderly woman who went missing.
Contacted by IPN, Liliana Pușcașu, press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, said that in almost three hours of the resumption of unblocking works this morning, the rescuers found the body of an elderly woman. This could be the 74-year-old woman whose whereabouts aren’t known.
The bodies of the first two announced victims of the blast – a woman and her child aged four - were taken out of the debris at about 10:30pm on October 7.
The blast that happened in the evening of October 6 affected a number of apartments on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th floors of stair No. 6 of the block. A man aged 77 died in the hospital as a result of the received injuries.
