The body of a man with a penetrating trauma, possibly caused by gunshot, was found on the outskirts of Răzeni village, Ialoveni district. Silvia Vetcu, Ialoveni Police Inspectorate press officer, told IPN that the police was alerted via 112 call on September 2, at 07:15.
"The police, the forensic officer and the district prosecutor went to the scene and established that the body belonged to a 64-year-old resident of Răzeni village", stated the press officer.
According to Silvia Vetcu, a smoothbore hunting rifle was abandoned near the body. "Upon verification, it was established that the deceased man was not a registered gun owner", said Silvia Vetcu.
A murder case was commenced, while a working group was constituted. The working group includes IP Ialoveni and National Investigation Inspectorate police officers and prosecutors who are going to carry out criminal investigation actions, as well as special investigative measures that aim to establish all the relevant circumstances.
"In order to determine the exact cause of death and other important information regarding the case, a number of tests will be conducted", said Silvia Vetcu.
