A man aged 47 faces up to two years in jail for calling 112 and saying that a bomb was planted in the Parliament Building in Chisinau.
Contacted by IPN, Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, said the call was made at 2:40pm. The people who were in the building were evacuated immediately and bomb squads went to the scene to examine the place. The area was fenced. No explosives were detected and the employees returned to work.
The man was identified soon and was escorted to a police station for being questioned. This was inebriated. If he is found guilty, the man will be fined at most 42,000 lei, will be given 180 to 240 hours of community service or will be jailed for at most two years.
