Not even a week after the false alarm at the Botanica district court, the police were again informed about a bomb scare. An anonymous caller phoned the nightwatchman of the Trade Unions House at about 9pm on Tuesday, saying an explosive device was planted in the building. According to the police, the man who called was a Russian speaker. Police officers and a bomb squad of the Ministry of the Interior traveled to the scene. They found no bombs there. On Wednesday, February 2 the employees of the Trade Unions House were allowed to enter the building. This is the second false alarm this year so far. The authors have not been yet identified. [Update] The author of the bomb threat at the Trade Unions House turned out to be a 45-year-old man, who called from his home fixed-line phone. According to the spokesman for the General Police Commissariat Adrian Jovmir, the man was under the influence when he phoned. He told the police he wanted to play a trick and did not think about the consequences. Most probably, he will be fined 1,000 lei.
