Border Guard Service increases number of border personnel

The Border Guard Service will raise the number of persons working at border crossing points and of mobile border surveillance teams from April 13. The move is aimed at coping with the larger number of crossings during the Easter holidays, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Border Guard Service, about 400,000 persons and over 90,000 units of transport crossed the state border in the corresponding period last year. Most of them entered Moldova through the border crossing points Leuseni, Sculeni, Giurgilesti-Galati, Otaci, Valcinet, and the Chisinau Airport.
