The public TV channel Moldova 1 has been unable to broadcast for several hours owing to a short circuit. Contacted by IPN, Moldova 1 director Mircea Surdu said the TV channel was disconnected from the power supply following the burning of a transformer. Technicians now work to remedy the situation.
According to Mircea Surdu, the transformer is an internal one and has no connection with the power supply services of Chisinau. “Effort is now made to connect the second transformer. All things are old. They haven’t been replaced for years and malfunction. The personnel are on the spot. The technicians promise the problem will be fixed in about 40 minutes and the retransmission will be resumed,” he stated.
On April 30, the public TV channel Moldova 1 celebrates the 58th anniversary of its foundation.
