A number of TV channels and a radio station were fined by 5,000 lei for not presenting activity reports for 2016 to the Broadcasting Coordination Council on time. These are TV Rain, AFilm, RTR Moldova Radio 7. MBC TV channel and Datina FM radio station were given three days to present the reports, IPN reports.
In the June 8 meeting, the Council also voted to withdraw the broadcast licenses of the TV channels OTV and Stil TV over repeated derogations from the Broadcasting Code.
Prime TV was warned publicly for deviations committed when broadcasting the documentary “Ukraine in flames” this February as the consumers could not form an objective opinion about the covered events as a result.
