The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) imposed sanctions in the form of public warnings on Retro FM and Hit FM for failure to observe advertising placement rules, Info-Prim Neo reports. Retro FM was warned for violating the provision of the Law on Advertising which prohibits airing ads for one and the same brand more than twice in one hour. Hit FM was sanctioned for violating the provision of the Broadcasting Code which states that in the case of radio stations, advertising must be aired in a group marked off by easily recognizable specific acoustical signals. The station was also warned for encouraging the purchase of the sponsors' products. At the BCC's meeting, member Nicolae Damaschin requested the monitoring department to monitor Russkoe Radio Moldova after one of its show hosts used “unpleasant language”.
