The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) demanded that the TV channels Prime and 2Plus submit the updated broadcast schedules, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Monitoring the two channels, the BCC ascertained that programs not included in the schedule were put on air and vice versa. “These channels do not harmonize their schedule with those of the channels they retransmit and thus mislead the viewers. I, for example, want to watch a program and expect it to start at the hour indicated in the schedule published in the print media, but the program begins much later or is not broadcast at all,” said BCC member Corneliu Mihalache.
After viewers complained to the BCC, the Council warned Prime and 2Plus to present the updated broadcast schedules within 15 days.
Council member Ludmila Vasilache warned the representative of 2Plus about the subtitling of programs. “I watched a fragment of a movie and saw that the subtitling was awful. It is shameful. You should caution the people who translate or improve the program if it is done automatically,” she said.
The Council’s chairman Marian Pocaznoi said they are now monitoring the quality of the language used in the programs and will later decide whether to impose penalties or not.
