Busts of personalities to be installed in Comrat

The Government accepted the Ministry of Culture’s proposal to place the busts of a number of personalities on the Victory Alley on Galatan St in the Gagauz town of Comrat, formulated under a decision of Gagauzia’s Executive Committee. There will be installed the busts of writer Mihai Eminescu, writer Alexandr Pushkin, former President of Turkey and citizen of honor of Gagauzia Suleiman Demirel, former President of Azerbaijan Gheidar Aliev, doctor of history Maria Marunevich. The Ministry of Culture will coordinate the placement of the busts and the arrangement of the adjacent area. The costs will be covered from the budget of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and from sponsorships.
