The Cabinet approved an agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments with the Government of Canada and remitted it to Parliament for ratification, IPN reports.
The agreement will contribute to the development of cooperation in the economic sector, to the attraction of Canadian investments to Moldova, to the implementation of mutually advantageous projects, says the informative note to the relevant decision.
The accord regulates the conditions of placing and protecting investments, the methods of resolving disputes while the agreement is in force and specifies the terms for implementing the document.
The agreement will be valid for a period of 15 years.
