Officers of the National Anticorruption Center arrested a woman teacher of the Cahul State University for asking 500 lei from a student for helping him pass the exam in accounting that he failed earlier, IPN has learned from the Center.
The teacher was caught in the act of taking the money in the center of Cahul town. She tried to get rid of the money and threw it away, together with the apartment keys, but the anticorruption officers recovered it.
The woman faces 3 to 7 years in jail and a fine of 20,000 to 60,000 lei. She will be also banned from holding particular posts or performing particular activities for a period of 2 to 5 years.
