The persons who can help the flood victims may bring parcels with non-perishable foods, bottles of drinking water, blankets, mattresses, personal hygiene objects, detergents, clothes and footwear at the Chisinau City Hall and district heads' offices from July 9. The collection points will be open daily, from 8am until 6pm, Info-Prim Neo reports. The addresses of the collection points are: Chisinau City Hall: 83 Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd; Centru district head's office: 43 Bulgara St; Buiucani district head's office: 2 Mihai Viteazul St; Botanica district head's office: 10 Teilor St; Ciocana district head's office: 4/3 Mircea cel Batran Blvd; Rascani district head's office: 3 Kiev St. Several parties also announced they will collect money and products for flood victims. The European Action Movement will collect aid at its offices in Chisinau – 88 Bucuresti St, Orhei – 36 Vasile Lupu St, and Hancesti - 107 Mihalcea Hancu St. The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova expects donations at its head office situated at 88 Bucuresti St. The PLDM also offered the victims 100,000 lei in aid. The PDM provided the same amount. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca announced he will donate his salary for the last month. The Ministry of Youth and Sport decided to transfer the one-workday salary of its employees, in the amount of 50,000 lei. In a meeting of Premier Vlad Filat and ambassadors working in Chisinau, the head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel said a group of European experts will assess the situation and determine the aid that Moldova needs to overcome the consequences of floods. The necessary financial resources will be identified on the basis of this information. According to the latest reports, about 700 houses located in different villages have been flooded so far. Cotul Morii village of Hancesti district was completely evacuated. The bridge that connects the villages Cotul Morii and Obileni is partially damaged and could collapse.
