Cart driver killed in road accident

A cart driver was killed when his vehicle was hit by a speeding car on the Brest – Chisinau – Odessa road on Monday, senior PR specialist of the Traffic Police Division Paulina Yakimovski has told Info-Prim Neo. The cart did not have reflectors. The driver aged 21 was struck fatally by a Mercedes driven by a 41-year-old man from Edinet. A BMW skidded near Ungheni town and crashed into a tree. The driver and an occupant of the car were hospitalized with serious injuries. A GAZ car went into a pillar in Briceni town, while a Renault skidded and ran into a tree in Calarasi town. The drivers were taken to the hospital with multiple traumas. An Opel Astra skidded and overturned on the Chisinau – Soroca road. The driver sustained a contusion. One person was killed and nine injured in eight traffic accidents that happened in Moldova on July 12.
