Case concerning robbery of currency exchange facility remitted to Court of Appeals

The Prosecutor General’s Office sent the criminal case opened against four men who are suspected of robbing a currency exchange facility and a shop to the Chisinau Court of Appeals, Info-Prim Neo reports. The four men are accused of entering a shop located on Banulescu Bodoni St in Chisinau with masks on their faces and of attacking the sellers on August 19, 2009. They stole 3.5 million lei from the safe. The men are also accused of breaking into a currency exchange facility situated in Dacia Blvd., of firing two shots and stealing about 700,000 lei on October 28, 2009. According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, three of the accused are investigated under arrest. The fourth member of the group was recently released from arrest under a decision by the Centru District Court.
