The Prosecutor General’s Office completed the investigation and remitted to court the criminal case started against the former vice president of the Chisinau Court of Appeals Gheorghe Cretu. Prosecutors accuse him of illegal hunting and accidental shooting of businessman Sorin Paciu during hunting in the Domneasca Forest on December 23, 2012, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the case was sent to the Falesti district court for reexamination. The prosecutors continue the investigation in the case of Paciu and will soon charge other persons concerned.
The December 23 hunting involved about 30 persons, including government officials. Among those attending were former Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko, Chisinau Court of Appeals president Ion Plesca, and former director of “Moldsilva” Forestry Agency Ion Lupu.
