Case of Straseni mayor sent to court

The legal case opened against the mayor of Straseni Constantin Priguza was remitted to court. The mayor is charged with taking €4,000 bribe from a company for signing documents to accept the works executed by it for the mayor’s office, Info-Prim Neo reports. On January 24 this year, the mayor was arrested in the yard of his house after he received the €4,000 marked ‘bribe’. Earlier, the mayor was paid 10,000 lei that he asked for hastening the transfer of money to the given company’s account. The operation was directed by anticorruption officers. Constantin Priguza faces up to 10 years in jail and a fine of up to 60,000 lei.
