The death toll from the novel coronavirus increased to 207. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection in the evening of May 16 announced three more deaths - two women from Edineț and a man from the municipality of Chisinau, IPN reports.
A number of 189 new infections with COVID-19 were confirmed on May 16, 30 of which in healthcare workers. As many as 1,429 tests were done today: 1,180 primary tests and 249 rerun tests.
The number of infections with the novel coronavirus now stands at 5,934. Until now, 2,344 persons who contracted the virus have been cured.
