CEC president is in hospital

The president of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Eugeniu Stirbu is in hospital. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, CEC vice president Renata Lapti said that Eugen Stirbu suffers from an old cardiac disease and went to hospital to receive treatment.
The hospitalization of Eugeniu Stirbu has nothing to do with the acts of violence committed in the center of Chisinau and the challenging of the election results, Lapti said.
“Mister Stirbu planned to go to hospital long ago and announced the CEC apparatus about this on Tuesday morning after a meeting.”
The CEC president will be in hospital for several days.
