The Electoral Bloc “European People’s Platform of Moldova - Iurie Leanca” was registered by the Central Election Commission (CEC) for taking part in the June 14 local general elections, IPN reports.
The required documents were submitted on April 15. CEC secretary Andrei Volentir said Iurie Leanca is the bloc’s representative in the relations with all the state institutions.
The bloc consists of the political project of the former Premier and of three parties, namely the “Democratic Action” Party headed by Mihai Godea, the Party “Democracy at Home” led by Vasile Costiuc and the Liberal Reformist Party headed by Ion Hadarca.
Unlike the parliamentary elections, the local elections do not include a threshold for entering the district, town (municipal) and village councils.
