The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered two more parties and an independent candidate as runners in the November 30 elections. These are the Centrist Union of Moldova headed by Mihail Petrache, the Political Party “For Nation and Country” led by Nicolae Utica, and journalist Valeriu Plesca, IPN reports.
Even if the CEC earlier set November 6 as the deadline for registering runners in elections, it decided to examine the documents of Anatolie Doga, who wants to run as an independent candidate, in another meeting. The members of the CEC doubted the authenticity of some of the signatures in support of this candidate and decided to more thoroughly examine the list of signatures.
The order in the ballot of the election runners registered today will be set when a decision is taken about Anatolie Doga.
So far there were registered 25 contenders, including those registered today. Twenty-one of them are parties, one is an electoral block and three are independents.
In today’s meeting, the CEC also modified the list of the Liberal Reformist Party, at the party’s request. Lawyer Ana Uraschi was written under No. 5.
