The executive committee of the National Bank of Moldova has decided to extend for a period of six months the mandate of Moldindconbank’s temporary administrators.
Temporary administrators were appointed to manage the commercial bank as part of an early intervention regime imposed by the NBM in 2016 in an attempt to combat illegal concerted practices and achieve ownership transparency.
Meanwhile, the NBM says, despite the ownership and partial managerial restrictions, Moldindconbank’s is continuing operations as normal, including its lending, deposit and cash-settlement activities.
