Certain visitors of Moldova do not need to prove they have money for maintenance

The citizens of the countries that signed visa-free agreements with Moldova do not need to prove that they have money for maintenance when crossing the border, it was said in the July 27 meeting of the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. The minimum amount of 30 euros a day, but not less than 300 euros for the entire period of stay, which was set by a decision on May 5 this year, applies only to persons who need visas to enter Moldova. As this was not specified in the decision adopted in May, there appeared a number of questions. Prime Minister Vlad Filat asked his colleagues to be more attentive when approving pieces of secondary legislation, especially to the content of the appraisals that accompany them. The citizens of the EU member states, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the United States, Canada and other countries can travel to Moldova visa free.
