All the decisions of the Superior Council of Magistracy could be challenged in the Supreme Court of Justice within 15 days. The challenges will be examined by a panel of judges consisting of five judges. This is provided in a bill that was adopted by Parliament by 54 votes in favor, IPN reports.

Challenges could be filed after the explained decision is provided and the examination period will not exceed 30 days. The given procedural difference is specified in the bill in a move to exclude any abuses or improper effects following the delay in examining challenges. The challenges against decisions of the Superior Council of Magistracy are examined as a matter of urgency.

Currently, the challenges are examined by a panel of nine judges. According to the authors of the bill to amend the law, the current provisions are not based on the international legal practice. As a large number of judges are involved in the examination of challenges, the activity of the Supreme Court of Justice is disrupted.
