The managers of a number of public authorities that are under parliamentary control will be dismissed if it’s determined that they inappropriately fulfilled their duties or worked ineffectively, as a bill that was adopted by the MPs on September 9 provides, IPN reports.
Among the given institutions are the National Commission for Financial Markets, the Competition Council, the Audiovisual Council, the National Agency for Dispute Resolution and the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
The bill proposed by the Party of Action and Solidarity institutes a mechanism for inspecting and punishing the managers of these institutions. The expert parliamentary commission will analyze the institutional management, the decisions adopted by the authority, progress reports, complaints and petitions and will compile a report on the managerial and professional skills of the chief.
If the commission finds reasons for the dismissal, it will produce a report with arguments in favor of the dismissal and will submit it to Parliament, which will discharge members of the Administration Board by a majority of votes.
