Children from 50 placement centers exhibit works at Easter fair

Works made by children from 50 community and placement centers were displayed at the fair “Going towards Resurrection” that was staged in the hall of the National Opera House in Chisinau on April 12. The event was organized by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family in partnership with the Moldovan Metropolitan Church, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the opening of the exhibit, Head of Parliament Marina Lupu said that such events enrich the soul. “Besides bringing joy to children and us, this fair plays an important role in social inclusion,” he stated. “We wanted to show by children’s creation how nice life, family and everything that surrounds us are,” said Minister of Labor Valentina Buliga. His Holiness Metropolitan Bishop Vladimir said that this exhibition staged during the Holy Week is a wonderful event for children and for those who will buy exhibits. Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta said that he achieved a double effect by one act. “Buying a small icon, I made the child who created it happy and brought joy to my family,” he stated. The exhibits included jewels, souvenirs, embroideries, paintings, sculptures and other things. The officials bought by one or two items from every stand.
