Two brothers aged three and four died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a fire after they were left without supervision. Sergiu Barbu, spokesman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened in a house in Zahoreni village of Orhei district on Sunday, October 25, at about 15.00. Allegedly, the fire was caused by the children, but the circumstances are not yet known. The father noticed the fire and entered the burning room to save the children. But they were already dead. An investigation is under way. The 1,839 fires that occurred in Moldova this year caused the death of 122 persons, including four children.
