"Children's world" town and "Christmas Village" set up in Chșinău center

The Great National Assembly Square Christmas tree will be inaugurated on Sunday, December 1. The holiday lights will also be lit on the same day. "Children's world" town will be inaugurated on Sunday evening in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nașterea Domnului", while the National Theater of Opera and Ballet "Maria Bieșu" Square will host the "Christmas Village".

Artistic activities will start at 17:00 at the Great National Assembly Square, the first show being "Reverie de iarnă". During the December 2-24 period, a carousel and other entertainment devices for adults and children will be established in PMAN. Photo pavilions will be set up and costumed actors as Santa Claus and other entertainers will roam the square.

This year's Christmas Fair will be organized at the Metropolitan Cathedral Square "Nașterea Domnului", while the inauguration of the event is scheduled for December 21, 17:00.

On December 24, on Gregorian calendar Christmas Eve, the folkloric show "Clinchet de argint pe aripi de colind" will be held in the Cathedral Square, followed by an entertainment program with the participation of Moldovan folk and pop musicians.

On December 25, on Christmas, various entertainment activities will be organized in the PMAN for the public.

On the last day of the year, on December 31, activities dedicated to the New Year will take place at the Great National Assembly Square, starting at 11:00. The first show will be the "New Year's Eve" show , followed by a recital of the "Tharmis" band, the folkloric ensemble "V-am ura v-am tot ura" and the choreographic musicical show "Urare de viață lungă". As of 23:45, the president of the Republic of Moldova, the prime minister, the general mayor of the capital and other officials will attend the festivities in PMAN.

At midnight, a fireworks show will engolf in light the PMAN, after which the "Zdob și Zdub" band will perform.

On January 7, 2020, on Julian calendar Christmas, the "Creștini, Crăciunul a sosit!" Christmas Show will be held in the Cathedral Square.

The praetorships will set up Christmas trees and will organize cultural-artistic activities in each of the five districts of the capital.
