The Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wang Jiarui met with the delegation of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), which is paying a visit to China. The Chinese official said that he visited Moldova in the past and remembers with pleasure the Moldovan wines. He expressed his readiness to promote them in China, together with other products of the Moldovan food industry, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the PDM, Wang Jiarui said that he will act as a ‘bridge’ for promoting Moldova’s exports in China and for extending the presence of China in Moldova. “We are grateful for Moldova’s openness in the cooperation with China,” he stated, referring to the entrance of Chinese telecommunications companies into the Moldovan market.
First deputy chairman of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc noted that the cooperation relations with the Communist Party of China will be intensified. “We accepted the proposal of our Chinese partners to organize an exchange of party delegations representing the women’s and youth organizations so as to strengthen the friendship between our parties,” he said.
Deputy chairman of the PDM Andrian Candu told the Chinese officials about the economic growth of 8.9% recorded in Moldova in 2013, which was the highest on the European continent, and about the stability prospects that the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union will offer. The delegation of the PDM also discussed with representatives of Chinese businesses.
The representatives of the PDM have visited China between June 2 and June 4.
