Chirtoaca thinks he's being followed

Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca of Chisinau thinks he is being followed. He has told the City Hall's ordinary meeting on Monday that he noticed a limo with Transnistria plates tailing him as he drove home from work Friday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I was followed until I reached the courtyard. I performed a maneuver which convinced me that it was my car that had been followed. Then he left {(the mayor assumed the alleged follower was a man)} when he understood that I saw him”. The mayor added that it's the first time that it was so obvious he was being followed. The mayor links the tailing to the fact that he was actively engaged in the election campaign for Romania's legislative elections. “During the campaign, several of my colleagues were followed, also by luxurious cars with license plates from provinces”, Chirtoaca revealed. The mayor notified the General Police Commissar's Office of the case and demanded investigation.
