The multifunctional center “Chisinau Arena” was 60% constructed and the builders assure the works will be completed by October 14, 2019, when this is to inaugurated, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Kiril Gaburici paid a working visit to the building site to see how things stand. He said the investments made in this national project will stimulate economic development and will contribute to developing infrastructure, tourism and sports.
“Approximately half a year ago, we laid the foundation stone of this complex. Today we have 60% of the works done. I hope the works will be executed at the same pace so that we meet the time limits,” stated Kiril Gaburici.
Work is now performed on the tennis courts, swimming pool, polyvalent arena and the Aqua Park.
Chisinau Arena is built under a public-private partnership. It will have a capacity of up to 5,000 places and large areas for sports and cultural activities, training, exhibitions, conferences and meetings.
