Chisinau Council to approve 2012 municipal budget

The Chisinau councilors will come together for an extraordinary meeting on February 21. Among the most important items on the agenda is the approval of the 2012 municipal budget in first reading. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the Council’s secretary Valeriu Didencu said the agenda of the extraordinary meeting contains the same items as those agreed for the last week’s meeting that was postponed. But more subjects may be added during the meeting, in particular the decrease in the hot water charge. The agenda includes 21 items, among which the conferring of the title of Citizen of Honor of Chisinau, drafting of Chisinau young men born in 1996 for military service, setting of allowances for managers of Chisinau preuniversity, preschool and extra-school education institutions. The meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council starts at 10am. The Council was to convene on February 16, but the meeting was put off as Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca abrogated his own decision to call the meeting.
