Chisinau pupils 'eat correctly'

Following inspections conducted this week at the schools “Mihai Viteazul”, “Mircea Eliade”, “Titu Maiorescu” and “Spiru Haret” in Chisinau, the representatives of the municipal Division for education, youth and sports found that the process of providing the pupils with free meals is organized correctly, the Division said in a communique. It was found that the requirements for preparing and storing the food are met, while the rules in accounting and pricing are respected. Over 30,000 pupils are offered free meals in 146 educational establishments. The menu is calculated based on a daily allowance of 10.5 lei per child, with 3.5 lei being covered by the parents and the remaining 7 lei by the municipal budget.
