Chisinau sidewalks cannot be cleared as they are misused

The General Public Transport and Communications Division prepared the quantity of anti-skid material needed for the cold season of the year, the Division's head Veaceslav Terna announced Monday, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Terna, there were purchased 16,000 cubic meters of anti-skid material. The Exdrupo units are ready to deal with the snow. As the previous years, firstly there will be cleared the streets used by public units of transport and those that go to suburban settlements. The roads inside the quarters and the sidewalks will be cleared of snow by the Housing Division. The head of the Housing Division Mihai Gontea said about 40% of the sidewalks cannot be cleared by vehicles because there are many constructions placed on them. The mayor demanded checking the authorizations for the parking lots set up by different institutions and placing barriers and locks as some of them use the public areas without having authorizations.
