Chisinau taxicab driver suspected for children trafficking and pandering

A 24-year-old youth, who worked as a taxi driver, was taken into police custody as a suspect for the recruitment and sexual exploitation of 5 young girls from districts Hincesti, Straseni, Calarasi, and from Chisinau. Two of the five girls were underage, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to a communique from the Ministry of Interior, officers from the Center for Combating Human Trafficking have gotten information that the suspect often lured young girls from different districts, proposed them erotic massage, and eventually exploited them sexually in a flat in the capital. After a series of investigations, it has been established that he would force the girls into prostitution. Although he was promising them good salaries, he was only paying the apartment’s rent. Criminal proceedings were started on the case, on charges of children trafficking and pander. The suspect risks to spend up to 12 years in jail, if found guilty.
