Choose your family doctor

Every year from September 1 until October 31, the medically insured and non-insured persons can choose their family doctor, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communique, the Ministry of Health says the medical-sanitary institution that provides primary medical care services can be changed once a year, except for cases when the person moves to a new place of residence.
The existing regulations recommend registering at the medical-sanitary institution that is closer to the person's domicile. When the person chooses a family doctor from an institution that is situated on another territory, they must cover the cost of the trip of the family doctor or nurse to their place of residence.
