Christmas gift fair opened at Moldexpo

The visitors of the Christmas gift fair that was opened Wednesday at Moldexpo can find products for the New Year table, clothes, toys, cosmetic products and souvenirs. Those who came to the fair on the first day said the prices are reasonable, but they would like to see more Christmas decorations, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldexpo director Arcadie Andronic said that 135 economic entities are taking part in the fair this year and there are more products on sale. Seller Andrei Cupcea said the prices of baubles and other Christmas decorations are by 0.5-1 leu higher than last year, but lower than in shopping centers. The artificial fir trees that are 1.5 meters in height sell for 300 lei. Craftswoman Lucia Zlotova came to the fair with different symbols of the new year. “These are presents for ladies and for children. They were all made by craftsmen. We hope to sell all the works,” she said. At another stand, a woman sells slippers for children and adults that cost 80-100 lei, and coats and sheepskin waistcoats for 200 to 600 lei. Not far from this stand, one can try on clothes from artificial and natural fur, footwear and clothing accessories such as gloves, scarves and shawls. There are also sold textiles, perfumed candles and decorative cosmetics. “I bought champagne and vine. The prices here are lower than in stores. It’s a pity I didn’t find the popular products I usually buy on holidays. There are not many toys. I wanted to buy something for my grandson, but didn’t find,” said a woman from Criuleni. “I came to purchase presents, but here are more food products. Thus I bought fish and sausages,” said a man from Stauceni. The Christmas gift fair will continue until December 25.
