Cimislia Health Center to get new surgical equipment

A new fibered endoscope is expected to reach the Cimislia Health Center by September, enabling surgeons in the southern district to perform minimally invasive surgery and making post-op recovery a matter of just a few days.

Health Minister Andrei Usatii has told IPN the minimally invasive operations will mean more efficiency and a better quality of the medical services. The equipment will be bought under a governmental project for 800,000 lei, which will be allocated by the State Budget.

Andrei Usatii announced that the Ministry plans to also improve the Center’s diagnostic capacities, in particular in the heart diagnostics department, the biochemical tests laboratory, for ECG and other examinations, in order to detect diseases in early phases and ultimately avoid additional treatment costs in the future.
