SA Termocom and the Chisinau authorities agreed to further use the old method of regulating the temperature of heat. The decision was made after the Public Amenities Division received a lot of complaints from the population, deputy mayor Vlad Cotet has told Info-Prim Neo. “It was decided that the the temperature of heat in radiators during the 2009 – 2010 heating season will be regulated by persons who are responsible for the meters installed on branch pipes even if we consider this an incorrect method,” said the deputy mayor. Earlier, the municipal authorities announced that from this heating season the temperature of heat will be regulated according to the temperature outside by the supplier. Vlad Cotet does not exclude that the authors of the applications lodged with the Public Amenities Division are persons who monitor the meters installed on branch pipes, as they pay less for the heat. Cotet said that usually, these persons do not have the necessary qualifications and can cause damage to the heating system. As a result, there can be leakages of water in apartments or the street under which the pipe goes can be damaged. “It is very bad that we will continue using the old method, but we could not do otherwise owing to these complaints,” Vlad Cotet said.
