Civil registration offices in Comrat, Ceadar-Lunga and Vulcanesti will work on special duty on September 9 to facilitate the conducting of elections for the People's Assembly of Gagauzia. The offices will work from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, IDs will be issued on the day of the elections on the request of voters. Permanent and temporary identification cards will be released in strict accordance with the law.
To those whose IDs are invalid, lost, stolen or haven’t been issued an ID at all, free temporary IDs will be released on a request-basis.
The civil registration offices in Comrat, Ceadar-Lunga and Vulcanesti will issue certificates that confirm the presence or lack of a residential registration, free of charge, to those voters who don’t hold a residential visa.
This Sunday the autonomous territory of Gagauzia will hold elections for its 35-seat legislative body, the People's Assembly.
