Cleanup of beaches starts one month earlier

The municipal services started to clean up the beaches in Chisinau one month earlier than the previous years. The head of the cleanup company “Spatii Verzi” Eliferii Haruta Wednesday said that the sand on some of the beaches was refined, the shower cubicles were set up and there will be water at all the recreational areas in 2-3 days, Info-Prim Neo reports. As to the beach in “Valea Morilor” Park, a public tender contest is to be held to select the company that will purchase the sand. The reeds will be cleaned in about two weeks. The cleanup of beaches the previous years began on May 25. “In the future, we should take into account that we have two seasons already, not four – winter and summer. The date should be modified so that it is April 25 instead of May 25,” said Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. High temperatures of about 30 degrees Celsius have persisted since the end of April.
