Clearer conditions were laid down for business entities and state regulatory, inspection and technical supervision bodies concerning the exploitation of dangerous industrial facilities such as gas stations, cranes and gas cylinders. A bill to amend and supplement the Law on the Security of Dangerous Industrial Facilities was approved by the Cabinet in its March 12 meeting, IPN reports.

By this bill, three authorizing documents will be excluded, while on document will be replaced by notification procedure. It specifies the risk categories for all the types of dangerous facilities and equipment and common norms for training and providing skilled personnel for ensuring the safe functioning of dangerous industrial facilities.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac said the amendments were made with the aim of adjusting the legislation to the new requirements that regulate industrial security so as to ensure a functional implementation mechanism.
