CMC earmarks 1.6 mln lei to repair piping in kindergartens

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) apportioned on Wednesday, September 20, about 1.6 million lei to refurbish hot water distribution systems in kindergartens. 400,000 lei will go to repair piping systems in Botanica district, 280,000 to Buiucani district, 265,000 lei to Centru district; 250,000 to Ciocana district; and 445,000 lei to Rascani district. Although it was reported that all the kindergartens in Chisinau have been connected to the heating systems by May, the heat supplier found that extra funds are required to repair the pipes that had undergone corrosion due to extensive inactivity. Chisinau Municipality has 150 kindergartens, most of which have been lacking hot water supplies for more than a decade.
