The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) in the first seven months of this year accumulated revenues of about 7.5 billion lei in the mandatory health insurance funds, up by about 787 million or by 11.8 percent compared to the same period last year, IPN reports.
Most of the revenues came from health insurance premiums as a percentage of the salary. They exceeded 4.7 billion lei, about 640 million more compared to the corresponding period last year.
Transfers from the state budget amounted to over 2.3 billion lei, by 50 million more than in the same period last year.
Mandatory health insurance premiums in a fixed amount came to almost 268 million lei, up by about 88 million lei compared to the first seven months of last year.
Other revenues collected in the mandatory health insurance funds, including insurance premiums paid by residents of information technology parks, amounted to approximately 131 million lei, by about 9 million more than the amount accumulated in the similar period last year.
The expenditure in the period totaled over 8.6 billion lei. This money was transferred mostly to contracted medical and pharmaceutical service providers. The amount transferred for compensated medical services, medicines and medical devices was by about 1.3 billion lei higher than in the same period last year.
