A video informs citizens how they can benefit from insulin analogs and compensated medical devices. The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) said the video was launched to inform the people that these pharmaceutical products have been compensated from the mandatory health insurance funds since July, IPN reports.
Through this video, CNAM specifies the procedure for benefitting from compensated medical devices, such as test strips and lancets for monitoring blood glucose and stoma bags, which is similar to that for compensated medicines. The prescription for medical devices is taken from the family doctor and is presented to the closest drugstore.
The institution calls on doctors to prescribe and on druggists to issue medicines and medical devices that are compensated according to medical indications, to inform the population about the possibility of benefitting from these products and to ensure access to these.
