The Communists expressed their indignation at the letter sent by the head of the International Monetary Fund mission Nikolay Gueorguiev, in which he recommends Parliament to adopt the budgetary-fiscal policy as soon as possible, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We are indignant at Gueorguiev’s letter to the administration of a sovereign state. By this letter, the IMF rebukes Moldova and tells it how and when very important bills for us, such as the budgetary-fiscal policy, should be adopted. These bills were to get to Parliament many months ago, but they were delayed by the Government,” Communist MP Oleg Reidman said in a press briefing. He also said that this letter represents interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state. After the mission leaves Moldova, the population will face a series of problems. “The Government did not ask the Parliament’s advice when it assumed the obligation towards the IMF,” said Oleg Reidman. The Communist leader Vladimir Voronin pronounced on the letter, saying no state to which the IMF made recommendations achieved success. “Filat is on good terms with the IFM and they blame the Parliament for the non-adoption of the bills. It results that the Government is good, while the MPs are bad,” said Vladimir Voronin. Earlier, Speaker Marian Lupu confirmed that he received a letter from the head of the IMF mission to Moldova, but said that neither he nor those from the IMF made it public. It is not yet known how its content became known.
